Just a random list of thoughts that have been swirling in my brain that I haven't written down during the quarantine which I guess ya'll might wanna know, maybe. who knows. you have to read them anyway.
- first off, everyone please calm down, i know a product of cabin fever is everyone is a lot more angry and easily annoyed and i have seen this evident on twitter where the people who term search to find people to argue with has only gotten more frequent. i don't get that affected by cabin fever but i Do get annoyed with people with this many sticks shoved in their anus so take the sticks out or i'm going to do it
- watching the midnight gospel made my brain shift more often to philosophy mindtracks and think more about mortality, but not in a scary way. more in a "i exist in this constant stream of birth and death along with the rest of organic life and focusing on that fact is kind of cool and somewhat relaxing".
- i read into the beastars manga and it only made me more antsy for season 2 of the anime.
- i've been sleeping a lot more lately and its worrying me a little.
- my birthday is this month! though I have zero clue what i'm gonna do for it.
- if you play animal crossing, please give me your friend code and hopefully we can visit each other's islands. (if my wifi doesn't act up again)
- remember this rule of life: being kind to everyone is being indirectly cruel to others. (meaning if you practice kindness to the intolerant and cruel, their victims suffer as a result)
- if you're going to represent a marginalized group you aren't apart of, please tell me you have someone of that group as a friend or i'm not gonna trust the quality of it.
- texas re-opened despite no progress being made on the virus and i'm just sitting here terrified and never wanting to leave my room.
- fanboy and chum chum was brought back into popularity and honestly its about time you all realized the show was genius.
- i need to rewatch homestar runner
- one of my favorite writing activities has been wondering how characters normally part of a stereotype based and stiff show universe have to react to more human emotions and situations. example being characters from a show that still attaches to the highschool clique stereotypes but actually having to react like real people to situations dealing with childhood trauma or something similar. basically i just like humanizing characters written with only one grain of depth in canon.
- the only music i've been listening to has either been death metal (ex. Bury Tomorrow), "dreamy" music (ex. Florence + the Machine, Porter Robinson), or whatever genre of music Shawn Wasabi is supposed to be.
- indivisible finally released on switch SO PLEASE CONSIDER PLAYING IT.
- i'm glad people are realizing modern jocks irl are actually pretty fun and chill and a lot of modern nerds are the ones that are heavily bigoted, misogynistic, and just mean as hell in general. i've had more annoying run ins with nerds than any preps or jocks (a preppy dude is one of my closest pals even), so everything highschool movies taught you was wrong.

- pacifism is a nice concept but flawed inherently as righteous anger and direct action is what is needed against intolerance. and if you have the privilege to have a voice that is favored over others due to your position or circumstances of birth (which does happen), use it to help others who don't have that.
- i've had more clear thoughts about my sexuality and gender as i got away from bad influences in friend groups and did more research on the subjects. its been a good weight off my shoulders (not gonna go into any specifics though).
- my seasonal allergies have been horrible.
- i'm starting to get exhausted by not being able to discuss shows or characters without people needing a large extreme reaction to them (either positive or negative). it feels forced as hell. please just take in both the good and bad of a character and discuss it like a character and not like the character came to life and shat in your cereal.
- drinking strawberry banana v8 makes me feel a little more alive.
- women with internalized misogyny and ones that use false feminism to excuse their own bigotry are both equally infuriating.
- i'm sorry this journal was half random thoughts and half serious topics but they're all relevant to bring up i think.
anyway, i hope you're all staying safe. just cuz your state opened back up does not mean its safe to travel again, remember that.
